Welcome to Mrigana, a five-room luxury bed and breakfast curated by Team Moram Earth. Our responsible tourism project aims to conserve the local flora, fauna, animals and insects while celebrating art, culture and heritage. Ideal for both short and long-term stays, Mrigana is situated adjacent to the Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary, just a kilometer from Viswa Bharati University. Built with minimal interference to the natural environment, our eco-friendly principles ensure a warm and comfortable stay amidst nature.

Why Visit Mrigana?
Your Visit to Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary
The sanctuary's main attractions are the blackbuck deer and spotted deer. The three water bodies host thousands of migratory birds in winter, such as Lesser Whistlings, Pintails, and Teals. Our friendly and experienced professionals will guide you through the park's rich wildlife diversity.

Culinary Experience
Start your day with early tea or coffee while watching gazing deer from your balcony and after that a full breakfast. Lunch is served flexibly from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. After a local tour, enjoy high tea in the serene lawn area. Dinner features a delightful stir-fry evening or a mouth-watering three-course à la carte menu.
Diverse Landscapes
Mrigana is nestled within the lush Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Bolpur Santiniketan. The sanctuary boasts an elevation of 56 meters (184 ft) and spans 200 hectares of thick Sal forest. It features three large water bodies (Jheel) that attract migratory and resident birds, making it a haven for birdwatchers. With over 1000 species of flora and fauna, including deer, peacocks, and wild monkeys, the sanctuary offers a rich and diverse landscape for nature enthusiasts.

Our five luxury rooms at Mrigana offer a true sense of safari escapade, thoughtfully constructed to blend with the jungle view. The charming rooms are elegantly furnished with antique pieces that combine vintage aesthetics with contemporary comfort. Surrounded by Sal, Segun trees, the forest's unmistakable fragrance enhances the stay, making it a divine and meditative experience.
